So if you ever go there remember that they scam you with vouchers and they probably won't work. However overall, the experience was overshadowed by the fact the 50% off we were promised wasn't accepted and now Hollywood bowl has my email addresses but I have no 50% off. Then the man (I personally feel scammed me by not accepting the 50% off □) was nice about filling up our bottles □ and even put ice in one of them which made me happy □, so that was obviously another star there ⭐. After the problem with the voucher, the person I was playing against beat me at the game of bowling which broke my heart □, but to be fair the bowling experience was very nice apart from the fact I lost, so that gave it a star ⭐. So we had to pay £20 after walking for about two hours, which was such a scam because they lured us in with their deal □. Monday Thursday 13.00 per person per hour (Available on Select Lanes Only) Friday Sunday 15.00 per person per hour (Available on Select Lanes Only) Billiards. It just didn't feel very inclusive or flexible and mildly spoilt an otherwise good experience.įirst they didn't accept the 50% voucher I brought even though there was nothing wrong with it except my account didn't work because the password was messed up and they apparently couldn't fix it. We felt really sorry for them and they left disappointed that they hadn't been able to finish and were refused at least a partial refund. The time to finish games is very tight - we finished with only five minutes left and understandably the players before us just needed a few extra minutes. If we were asked by reception, we would have been very happy to have let them finish. Two of their players clearly had learning difficulties and we were left having a very awkward conversation lane side with no staff support or interaction. We arrived at the lane being told it was ready (and it was) however the other players were still there and had asked reception if they could finish their game and were told they couldn't. Also, the players in our lane before us had not finished their game, with just a couple of rounds left. Even my 9 year old found it uncomfortable. the noise levels as you walk in and in the amusement area are overbearing. :D Not sure if I would go again unless I had a really good groupon or something. The bowling itself was fine with no issues. Centre With 18 bowling lanes, more than 100 arcade games, some of Europes fastest dodgems and an American pool table, theres so much to do here, whether. Definitely a great place for a casual date night but it does get pretty loud so you have to get close to hear each other speak (make sure your breath is fresh) or you'll have to talk really loudly. I love that they had a nice Hummus, Pita Bread and Veggie platter along with the wings and fries! Drinks were bar prices, nothing new there. Anyway, we ordered food which was pretty tasty. No wonder it costs so much to play here, they must have to replace/repair the dented wood often. Several people on my left and right just walked up as I was preparing to go and threw their ball down the lane (a number of people were just lobbing balls into the air because they absolutely don't know the proper form of bowling and just think the goal is to get it down the lane however you can). I mean I was there to have fun but when a person is up to bowl, the person on your immediate right should allow you complete your turn then they can go once your ball is released. I wouldn't consider myself a serious bowler except that I did play on a league when I was younger and there is actually bowling etiquette which is not observed at this place so it's quite distracting. This is definitely not the place for serious bowlers.
